printable scratch tickets

With Claire's party over and done with for another year, we've started working on a few St. Patrick's Day projects around here. As I mentioned last year, my Mom's from Ireland, so we make a point of celebrating March 17 here! I've seen these make your own scratch tickets on Pinterest, and I thought this would be a perfect time to try it out. I used this tutorial to make the tickets.

I used a piece of packaging tape to cover my scratch tickets. Then, mix 1 part Dawn dishwashing liquid, and 2 parts grey paint. I painted the part of the ticket that I wanted people to scratch off. I used a dark grey paint, so it only took one coat for me. Also, I used a foam brush, which gave a much nicer coverage than a regular paint brush (trust me, because I tried both brushes).

Want to download these and make your own St. Patrick's Day scratch tickets? Click here to download. I included a few blank scratch cards so that you can write your own messages on the tickets. If you make these let me know, I'd love to hear from you.

fun fall activities printable

Looking for some fun fall activities for kids (mostly toddlers)? Look no further. You can download this little list here.

Some of these ideas I've seen on Pinterest (of course) and I can't wait to try them with my kids this year. Things like ghost mashed potatoes, leaf ghosts, and thankful tree. Other ideas we've already done, like the footprint fire trucks (a great activity for fire prevention week), leaf caterpillar print and turkey handprints.

It's nice to be able to check off activities on a list so that the whole season doesn't pass you by without you getting to do the things you had hoped to do.

What are you favorite things to do in the fall?

summer fun printable

Update: I recently posted an updated version of this list. It's much more printer friendly, and doesn't have the year on it. Check it out here.

This project was totally inspired by all of the summer bucket lists that I've seen floating around on pinterest. Now, I need to take a minute to once again declare my love on pinterest. Are you on there yet? I l.o.v.e. it. (If you need an invite to join leave me a comment with your email address and I'll send you an invite.) You can see my pins here.

I love the idea of having a list of things to do with the kids this summer. Last summer I had wanted to do some of these things with the kids, but somehow the summer passed and we didn't get a chance to do half of them!
I've seen lots of these lists, but I think that a lot of them are geared for older kids. Mine is definitely geared towards toddlers, which is good since I have a 3 year old and a one year old! Some of the ideas I saw on pinterest- like the make your own car wash, tin foil river and giant bubbles. I made my own list and then rounded it out with some other ideas I've seen floating around. I especially liked this list form The Crafting Chicks.

I had my summer fun list printed at Costco, since I was ordering a few other enlargements anyway. It's an 8x10 and was just $1.89 (mine has a matte finish). Then I cut a piece of foam board to mount my picture on. I put some tape around the edges of the board so that it looked a little tidier. Foam boards not so easy to cut, so my edges were a wee bit jagged! You could use ribbon too.  Then I just covered the front of the foam board with a light coat of Mod Podge and stuck my list on top of it.
Looks like we're going to have a busy summer! If you'd like to download this list click here. (For personal use only please.) Let me know if you use it, I'd love to see how you display it.

Valentine's day printables

I had so many Valentine printables running through my head this year, but somehow they didn't all turn out quite how I had envisioned. I'm definitely better more comfortable with paper designs rather than computer ones! Something to work on in my spare time, which at my current pace, could be a few years from now! BUT that's ok, because right here, right now, it's all about loving my kids and family, and that's just fine with me. Just a few hours apart from my duaghter today, and I couldn't stop hugging her when I got home.

That's what this printable is all about. Find love (kids, husband/wife, family) and hold them tight. Hug them lots- you'll never be sorry that you gave out too many hugs.

(To save file click on the picture to enlarge it. Then click on it again and right click and save the file.) Let me know if you use this file- I'd love to see what it looks like in your space.

Keep Calm and Merry On Printables

I love the latest round of Keep Calm printables that I've seen floating around. My favorites are the Thanksgiving ones seen here. BUT, since I live in Canada and Thanksgiving is already over, I decided to make a few Christmas ones. I couldn't decided whether on not I preferred the white tree or coloured tree, so I made them both.

To download click on the picture and then right click to save it. Enjoy!
I'd love to see pictures of your Keep Calm poster hanging up- leave your link in the comment section.
