I made this gumdrop wreath for Christmas but I love it so much that I couldn't bear to take it down already.
I've seen these wreaths made a variety of ways. When my sister and I made ours we broke toothpicks in half and used those to secure the gumdrops to the wreath. I've seen these made where the gumdrops were secured to the wreaths using a hot glue gun. Each ways have their perks. If you use a hot glue gun your fingers will thank you. If you use toothpicks you can turn your Christmas wreath into a Valentines day wreath!

ReplyDeleteOh, I just love it! I really need to try this one!
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable!!! Do you put anything over the gumdrops so they don't get nasty or attract bugs? (Not that we have any bugs in all the ice we have here right now, LOL)...but I was just curious. :)
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be able to make this wreath....I'd eat all of the red gumdrops - they're my favorite! But what a beautiful wreath it makes for those with willpower!

This really is so cute! The weather doesn't affect your gumdrops? (I'd be afraid with as cold as it is here they would get hard and fall off the tooth picks.) Apparently it wasn't too difficult to make it a Valentine's Wreath. Both look really cute! Do you think you'll be able to use it again next year? (Or are you going to make it a Patriotic Wreath next?)
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Tatertots & Jello. I've got to try this project. Thanks for sharing.
